I think that the Penguin edition has good notes (I'm not entirely sure if it's true) and I have seen a lot of people downgrading Wordsworth for it's material quality, but at the same time I see people saying they are of equal material quality. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen 'It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. Pride and Prejudice (published in 1813) began life as First Impression s in 1797. I know that there are other editions that might be better than these two (if you have them feel free to talk about them, it’s always interesting to learn about book editions) but I narrowed down my options to Wordsworth Classics and Penguin Classics for two reasons: price (I have spent a lot on books latetly) and availability in my country (shipping those books usually takes me up to a month). ![]() English is not my first language, my problem isn't really the understanding of the text but the lack of knowledge on which English editions and publishers are better. I want to read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and would like to buy and English edition. ![]()
